Local Priorities ASB - Anti Social Behaviour Update

Local Priorities ASB - Anti Social Behaviour Update

This is a local update regarding ASB - Anti Social Behaviour, which people around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey.

We would like to update you on the current anti-social behaviour issues in Ystradgynlais Town Centre.
Firstly, we would like to report that we had seen a decrease in reports to the police following issues such as littering, noise, criminal damage since the beginning of the summer period.
Unfortunately, this month has again seen an increase in reports to the police regarding asb such as littering, youths screaming and shouting and throwing stones/pumpkins etc, use of e bikes and e scooters.
This month we have issued 3 asb letters for littering, 2 asb letters for throwing stones and another letter is due to be issued in the coming days.
We are appealing to parents to speak to their children in the run up to Halloween, we all want our children to have fun and enjoy the excitement of Halloween but please remind them to be respectful of other people’s property and our local community.
Thanking you for your understanding and cooperation.
